Ups and Downs

Winter Break is soo relaxing, its making me feel a tad lazy. Oh wells, so yesterday, I had my first SF Asian clubbing experience! It was pretty fun...much better than the craziness 3 years ago at City Lights. There were cage dancers at City Lights and I felt out of place. This time it was much better with alcohol :)!

Anyhow back to the real reason for this entry.

So today, my close friend from high school told me that Ms. Bonnie Hansen, one of the teachers from my old high school, passed away on Friday evening. I never had Ms. Hansen as a teacher directly during my years at Burton. But she was my teacher regardless, I interacted with her during lunch hours and during the weekends because she was the faculty sponsor for Building with Books, the club I was doing leadership for during my high school years. She was also the faculty sponsor for the schools, GSA (Gay Straight Alliance), and I still believe she is the one that sparked my interest in LGBT issues.

So through a Facebook invite I found out that there will be a memorial service for her tomorrow at 5pm at Burton. Tomorrow will be the first time that I'll be going back to Burton since my graduation. It's been four years and I'm still in disbelief that a tragedy like this will be the event that brings me back. Anyhow I just need to pay my respects to the person that helped shape me so much during those four tough years.

I think I never let her know how much I appreciated her being the faculty sponsor or showed my graditude towards her. I was sorta bad with emotions during high school. I was pretty passive aggressive. I think tomorrow would help me reconcile that chapter of my life since I believe I'll be seeing a lot of old faces!

Christmas Time!

Im soo estatic for Christmas and Winter Break! Yessum! Just one more weekend of hell and then three more weeks of bliss!

It's Cold and Studying is No FUN!

Let's get down to business. 

2 more weeks of hell with finals and papers and then its utter goodness in the YAY area for three weeks! I simply can't wait getting off the plane and returning home for some Chinese goodness, no more Hot Pockets at least for three weeks ;)!

Half Way Mark!

I'm suppose to be studying for my midterm but instead I'm listening to JAY Chou and blogging. I think its a better use of my time. Just Kidding. I need to raise that GPA. I'm excited for everything, a bit tired but everything is great. I'm going to have my midterm this Thursday morning. Then later that night I'll be on the train to Beijing. I'll be coming back from Beijing on Monday morning and Deanna will teach me how to ride a bike. Awesomeness. I have my bandaids and neospirin already ready!

So I had an amusing day today. I went to Cybermart with Deanna to purchase a new camera. What happen was we actually forgot to get the reciept from the sales guy and we ended up returning to the building like 20 minutes later. But what happen was that they was a fire in the mart and everyone had to exit the building. It was sorta funny. There was still smoke coming out of the building but ppl just continued entering the building and nobody really stopped anyone.


I asked a lady what happened and she told me some smoker set the place on fire. DUMBASS.
